Respax Tourdesk Introduction

Respax Tourdesk is a real-time product catalogue directly into multiple Respax Operators using a single, easy-to-use web interface. It enables real-time availability checking and immediate bookings directly into each operators remote reservation system. Many large and small Australian tour operators use the Respax Reservation system as their in-house reservation system. All these operators are directly connected to the Respax Tourdesk network. The network provides real-time access to the operator's tour content, images, pricing, availability as well as offer direct, real-time booking facilities.

The Respax Tourdesk also tools provides data buffering, caching and server probing to ensure maximum availability of operator servers and product. As Respax Tourdesk is heavily cached, it reduces the constant dependency for remote operator servers to be online and available. It makes the access to the remote product much more dependable and gives it a higher server availability probability.

Operator Mapping

After you have registered and logged in you can access product information, pricing, images and availability. However, if you wish to book the operators with this tool, you will need to map your organisation to the remote operator. This is a very simple Respax Tourdesk where you request a map, the operator approves it and you are ready to book.

The Respax Tourdesk maintains your existing relationship with the operator. Each operator manages its own agents and their logins. You will need to map a login to each operator that you wish to use and book. You can easily request a login from each operator under My Company Login Maps tab in this application.

Setting up Users

We encourage you to give each of your employees individual user id's as it is much easier to manage when they leave your company. With generic logins, you run the risk of users booking tour operator product in your name without being accountable as the generic logins are anonymous. Multiple users also lets you better control permissions for each user. You will only have to map to a remote operator once regardless of how many users your set-up.

Respax Tourdesk is simple and easy-to-use. Access the Operator's product from the Product/Favourites link in the menu. Check out the Online TUTORIAL section for more information about how to use this site.

Adding more Tour operators to the Respax Tourdesk

To publish products in the Respax Tourdesk, the tour operator needs to be using the Respax reservation system either as their in-house reservation system or as an allotment system (less popular).
