Respax Newsletter November 2010

Hello!

2010 has been an interesting year for ResPax as our plans for improvements and expansion move forward. In 2011 we will continue the innovations and work more closely with tour operators using ResPax reservation systems to help improve and grow their business.

As a start, we would like to:

Keep an eye out for our next newsletter in early 2011 - we have many exciting plans on the drawing board and will keep you informed as those plans become actioned or are close at hand.

In the last few months, ResPax has been using Face Book and Twitter websites for the purposes of communicating to the world news from ResPax and info about ResPax tour operators and their products. More website traffic leads to more sales, and that is what we are trying to help you do!
Naturally our focus is on assisting tour operators with ResPax web booking facilities, as your success leads to our success. So far, we have put forward information we have obtained ourselves, but are asking you to keep us informed of any news, photos, etc, you would like to see broadcasted so we can bring more website traffic in your direction.

Twitter
Follow us on Twitter to hear the latest news. Let us know your Twitter address so we can follow you. Please understand, we do not monitor Twitter 24 x 7 - we only log in from time to time so if there is something you would like us to retweet, please let us know by This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Face Book
We would like to add individual photo galleries for tour operators to showcase your operations, talk about your awards and award nominations, expansions, new tours, celebrity visits, tv appearances - anything newsworthy! Send us your Facebook page so we can "like" it to stay in touch with your postings, and click the Like button on our Facebook page so you can keep in the know with news from Respax and Respax tour operators.

Tour content management

Agent/Operator/Passenger Website Login

ResPax Enterprise - Netwizard Module
Did you know the Netwizard module of ResPax Enterprise has several great features:

  • web bookings with live availability
  • tour content management for your website (ResPax system direct to web - images, tour information, availability grid), saving you time and dollars normally spent outsourcing to a web developer
  • agent logins (great for wholesalers/inbound operators with special pricing features)
  • operator logins (so partner operators can update limited info about their tour components with your packages - eg. availability)
  • passenger logins for hop-on, hop-off tour operations - passengers purchase a pass, then log in to book the sectors of their trip.

The previous pricing model for ResPax Enterprise Netwizard (remote hosted) involved a separate monthly fee which was not within reach of some of our smaller operators. The new pricing of simply 0.95% of network transactions makes it very affordable! Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Online Documentation & Release Notes
During some visits to Respax operators, we have become aware that tour operator staff do not know we have online tutorials, "how tos", frequently asked questions and the like on the web as a reference and training tool. We also have release notes to keep you informed about changes in each version of the product - a great way for you to keep informed of software improvements which may in turn improve your business processes. You will find this information on the ResPax website under Support - Documentation.

New Look ResPax Enterprise!
ResPax Enterprise is getting a makeover with the rollout of the new release planned for the 2nd quarter next year. We have been busy behind the scenes doing development work, virtually rebuilding ResPax Enterprise from the bottom up, to ensure it keeps pace with future changes in operating system technology. Changes that users will notice are:

  • a modern look and change in the layout and structure of the system
  • an opening page that will let users know of important news and suggestions to help improve your business, links to resources, etc.
  • faster navigation and loading of content
  • ability to open multiple screens of the program
  • many more features that we will explain closer to the release date.

We will keep you posted early next year on release dates and what other features the new release will have, we are excited and looking forward to implementing this.

A reminder about our arrangement with Total Travel. Total Travel will add a book now link to their website firing up the tour operator's ResPax payment voucher free of charge (for ResPax tour operators who have a Total Travel listing). Tourism NT Online Bookings Information Session
ResPax attended Tourism NT's Online Bookings information sessions in Alice Springs recently. The information sessions focussed on the TXA (Tourism Exchange Australia) and connected reservation systems, such as ResPax.
