The year is now drawing to a close, and in addition to wishing you all the best for the festive season, we'd like to tell you about the exciting changes which have been taking place at Respax in the last quarter...

With Respax global expansion plans under way, the increased number of Respax tour operators and agents is opening up new marketing opportunities for your business.

To help you widen the exposure for your business, Respax has:

  • improved communication with agents

  • created a new product for small operators

  • improved free agent tools, creating new online sales tools so agents can promote your business on their websites

  • employed a Client Account Manager with a background in web consulting and marketing

Read below about how you can seize these opportunities and work with Respax in 2010 for a better bottom line.

 

 


Released in November, the web widget (small booking window such as you see on airline websites) and web voucher links are proving very popular.

Agents are keenly jumping on board with accommodation places, internet cafes and travel websites snapping up these tools to promote the tours of Respax web-enabled operators on their websites.

Tour operators keen to partner with other Respax operators are also moving to include a wider range of tours on their websites.

Agent Login
By directing agents to use Respax Tour Voucher, you can increase the direct bookings and remove the manual handling required for telephone bookings.  If you put an Agent section on your website, with a brief intro that you use Respax and your preferred method of booking is Tour Voucher, you can save your staff a lot of work.  You can link to the Tour Voucher login and registration page.

The website has been restructured to make it easier to locate information you may be looking for, and the content has been updated and expanded upon (eg. we have listed Frequently Asked Questions for queries in areas other than technical).

ARAMA Meeting
ARAMA is the Australian Resident Accommodation Managers' association.  In November, Ingrid (Respax Client Account Manager) gave a talk on Web Marketing to the Cairns branch, which included pointing out the features of Tour Voucher for direct agent bookings and our new online sales tools.

Agent Feature:  Cairns Tour Info
A new adventure website, www.adventurecapitalaustralia.com.au target="blank" is about to be launched by Cairns Tour Info. This website is being built around our online sales tools and will offer tours of Respax web-enabled operators.... Just make sure you accept the operator mapping request from Clint at Cairns Tour Info so this website can include your tours.

Agent Feature:  Callstation Net Cafe
Callstation Net Cafe are using the online sales tools on the computer screens of their internet cafe.  They also use Tour Voucher for on-site tour desk bookings.

 

Operator Mapping Requests
As the availability of our new online sales tools has opened up the promotional opportunities for you, you can expect to receive operator mapping requests from companies you do not traditionally recognise as tour desks.  They may be travel website names, website design companies, other tour operators.... So please consider calling the agent and assessing the marketing aspect before declining their request to be an agent.


Remember, all bookings received through our online tools on agent websites will come directly to the operator and are processed using the operator's credit card facilities.  You then need to send their commission on your regular billing period.


Did you know that DCMRes, V3, TicketMates, JTB (through V3) and Peter Pans Adventure Travel have hooked up their reservations systems to the Respax network to access your direct booking information?
